A-1 is a Greensboro company. Our landfill is at 2091 Bishop Rd., off I-85, I-40 and I-74, so debris from a Greensboro demolition job has a short haul, and one company is responsible from the tear-down to final disposal.
In summer 2025 our crews took down the 60,000-square-foot Brooks Global Studies school building in Greensboro for Guilford County Schools. That job covered asbestos removal, an 8,000-gallon tank removal, demolition of the building and boiler room, basement backfill, grading and seeding.
We take down houses as well as commercial buildings. Recent residential jobs include homes in Pleasant Garden, just south of Greensboro, and across Randolph County. We handle the tear-down, haul everything away in our own trucks, and can take the lot from clearing to final grade.
We hold North Carolina General Contractor License #71646, and we handle asbestos inspection, removal and disposal with our own crews.
Demolition is only part of the job. Our crews clear trees and brush, put up silt fence and safety fencing, remove old parking lots and tanks, and grade and backfill so the site is ready for what comes next.

We are the only company in the Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem markets that handles every step ourselves, from inspection through final disposal at our landfill. Our crews work with our equipment: 14 negative air machines, electric ride-on floor tile scrapers for flooring removal, and excavators with hammers, shears and munchers for the tear-down.

The general contractor brought us in to take down the old 16,000-square-foot Rural Hall fire station. Our crews removed the asbestos first, then demolished the building, hauled the debris to our facilities and graded the lot. One contractor for the whole job.

Metal and concrete were recycled, and everything else went to our landfill in Greensboro.
Doing it all ourselves saved the project owner an estimated $100,000 or more compared with the other bids. We also found a local hybrid academy to take the desks, chairs and school equipment left behind.
