CONFIDENTIAL PRODUCT DISPOSAL FOR MAJOR MANUFACTURER
In 2022, A-1 Service Group executed a major product destruction project for a leading Winston-Salem manufacturer. The three-month operation involved processing $100 million worth of product, managing 645 tractor-trailer loads through our Overdale Road Transfer Station, and coordinating secure disposal via our walking floor fleet. The project was completed ahead of schedule, demonstrating our ability to handle large-scale, sensitive disposal operations efficiently and discreetly.
MAJOR QUARRY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR SUMMIT MATERIALS
A-1 Service Group established and operated a complete crushing and screening operation at Summit Materials’ greenfield quarry in North Charleston, SC. Our comprehensive mobile fleet—including jaw and cone crushers, scalping screener, horizontal wash plant, and six stacking conveyors—produced over 475,000 tons of DOT-spec 57 aggregate products. This two-year project, completed in 2024, showcases our ability to deliver large-scale custom crushing solutions from site development through production.
LARGE-SCALE ROCK PROCESSING AT RALEIGH LANDFILL
At a Raleigh landfill site, A-1 Service Group deployed our Powerscreen 600 jaw crusher for a major rock processing operation. In just three months, we successfully hammered and processed 117,000 tons of material, demonstrating our ability to execute high-volume crushing projects efficiently. The project, completed in 2019, showcases our mobile crushing capabilities and rapid project delivery.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE: 3,700 TONS OF ABC MATERIAL IN 36 HOURS
When a Forsyth County fertilizer plant fire demanded immediate response in 2021, A-1 Service Group delivered 3,700 tons of recycled ABC material within just 36 hours. Our proximity to the site and rapid mobilization capabilities enabled swift cleanup support, demonstrating our ability to meet urgent material supply needs in emergency situations.
MULTI-BUILDING APARTMENT COMPLEX DEMOLITION
For Blueridge Contractors, A-1 Service Group executed the complete demolition of 10 apartment buildings, managing all aspects from site work to final disposal. Utilizing our specialized equipment fleet and walking floor trailers, we efficiently processed and transported all materials to our Bishop Road Landfill. The comprehensive project was completed in just six weeks in 2014, demonstrating our ability to handle large-scale demolition projects efficiently.
