The 15 yard is our most popular size for homeowners. It handles garage, attic and basement clean-outs and fits tight driveways. The 20 yard is the usual pick for roofing and bigger remodels. Builders order the 30 yard most for new construction and additions.
Concrete, brick, block, dirt, clay, sod, asphalt and gravel go in our 20-yard concrete and dirt box: $375, loaded up to 8 tons. Concrete washout cans are $585.
A few yards of concrete can weigh more than a full dumpster of household junk, so a box that looks half empty can already be at its limit. Keep heavy material out of the standard 15, 20 and 30 yard dumpsters, and fill only to the top rail. Clean concrete we take in gets crushed and recycled. More on heavy material dumpsters.
There is no environmental fee on homeowner rentals.
Most dumpster companies haul your load to someone else’s landfill and pass that fee on to you. We take Greensboro-area loads to our own Bishop Road Landfill at 2091 Bishop Rd., and Winston-Salem-area loads to our own Abbey Green Transfer Station on Overdale Road. No third-party landfill fee, and no waiting on someone else’s schedule.
We’ve been family owned in the Triad since 1979, and every dumpster we set is ours, on our trucks, with our drivers.
Our flat rates are the same in every town we serve.
A 15-yard is $325, a 20-yard $375 and a 30-yard $475. Full loads go to our Bishop Road Landfill, just minutes outside the city. The 30-yard is what Greensboro builders order most, with the 15-yard next for remodels and clean-outs. See dumpster rental in Greensboro.
Same prices: $325, $375 and $475. Winston-Salem loads go to our Abbey Green Transfer Station on Overdale Road, so the truck doesn’t have to drive back to Greensboro to empty. See dumpster rental in Winston-Salem.
Same prices: $325, $375 and $475. High Point loads come back to our Bishop Road Landfill. See dumpster rental in High Point.
We also serve Burlington, Kernersville, Mebane, Thomasville, Lexington, Asheboro and more towns within 40 miles.

Not on your own driveway or lot. On a public street, alley or sidewalk you need a right-of-way or lane closure permit from your city. Permit fees are paid to the city, not to A-1.
No. We own the landfill, so no third-party landfill fee is passed through, and there is no environmental fee on homeowner rentals.
